Leaving on a jet plane

Over this past week, we went to St Louis to see my family and celebrate my great-grandma's 100th birthday.
Our trip got off to a rocky start. We checked our luggage in 60 mins before our flight was set to depart and walked to security. An hour later we were through with security and ready to catch the tram to our gate. Obviously, we missed our flight. I have never had an hour wait in security. We rushed to our gate, but the plane had departed. Doug got us wait listed on the next flight and we headed to our gate. As we passed by the customer service desk, the line was full of other people who had ridden the tram over with us, we weren't the only ones to miss our flight due to security.
After a nervous wait, we got three seats on the next flight. Of course none of them were together, but a kind gentleman switched seats with us. I was a little annoyed with the flight attendant who kept on trying to put me and Charlie together and Doug in a separate seat. I was planning on the separate seat, so I could hopefully rest. Aren't daddies just as capable of taking care of their children on a plane as mommies?
Charlie was a great little traveler as usual :-)
We got into St Louis and headed to my grandma's house. As we pulled into the drive way we discovered that the radiator had gone out. Off to the mechanic the car went and we were stranded at my grandma's house for the day.
We still managed to have fun playing outside in the yard. Here is a picture of Doug and Charlie out playing.
